Proxycurl is a contrarian. In a sea of unprofitable venture-funded startups, Proxycurl is a scale-up. We are profitable with healthy margins, bootstrapped and lean, growing at 150-200% per year.

Hustle is the theme in classical startup porn. But not at Proxycurl. We do not do overtime.

Proxycurl is a tech company founded by software engineers building tooling for other software engineers. We make money by gathering and making sense of valuable B2B data, and then making these data easily accessible to businesses.

We are a lean team of 40+ individuals, distributed around Southeast Asia and the US. And we punch above our weight class. And here we are. We are hiring and ready to scale up to have you in our team :)


Software Engineers

I am looking to start and expand on a few sub-units within our development team. They are

  • A data science team.
  • A platform team.
  • A team to work on a new adjacent product.

Data science team

Proxycurl is a data enrichment service. Our data needs are ever-expanding and ever-evolving. I am looking to build a data science team to build specialization in implementing and maintaining web crawlers at scale.

Getting raw data is mere step one. Processing raw data, and connecting the dots between the data is the meat of the value that we bring to our customers.

Platform team

The platform team is the most senior team within our larger developer team. The platform team builds for the rest of the development team to improve the productivity of the whole of the team. Some of the platform team's work include:

  • Kubernetes configuration and optimizations
  • Gitlab CI
  • Development environment for developers

And I am looking to fill these roles with capable engineers. This is a 100% remote position.

Business Development Representative

Job Responsibilities

Proxycurl is ready to initiate a sales team! Initially, Proxycurl operated as a self-serve platform, but as we expanded to cater to larger enterprises, our sales needs evolved. In addition to serving upstream customers, we've identified opportunities in customer acquisition through outbound outreach and up/cross-selling to our existing clientele. This is why it's time for us to establish a robust sales team at Proxycurl.

We are looking to hire at least two Business Development Representatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing an intimate understanding of our products and services.
  • Conducting demo calls with potential prospects.
  • Qualifying potential prospects.
  • Responding to numerous emails daily, scheduling meetings, and persuading correspondents to get on a call with you.
  • Following up, maintaining regular contact with potential customers to nurture relationships and keep our company top-of-mind until the prospect is ready to proceed with a purchase.
  • Contacting existing customers for satisfaction surveys, and identifying cross/up-selling opportunities.
  • Generating leads by identifying and utilizing new channels/methods to reach potential prospects within our ideal customer profile.
  • Reporting your activities and outcomes in a CRM.

Requirements:

  • (This requirement applies to Singaporeans/Malaysians only.) WFO based at our office in Tai Seng, Singapore. We will provide the necessary work permits for Malaysians to work in Singapore.
  • Ability to work in the US time-zone.

Compensation Structure

We offer a base salary, the details of which will be communicated via email or your local job ad. In addition, we offer:

  • A quota bonus: You will receive a $500 bonus if your demo calls lead to the conversion of at least 7 customers to paying customers. Thereafter, you will earn $50 per paying customer.
  • Revenue commission: You will earn a 5% commission on revenue.
