Enrich Social Media Profiles With NinjaPear

I have good and bad news. The bad news is that I had a way better update but had to drop it due to legal concerns. The good news is that you can now enrich social media profiles on NinjaPear, and also get rich social media profile URLs back as a response. All of our data is enriched live in real-time. We do not read profile data from a database.

Simply put, with the NinjaPear API today, you can:

Social Media Platforms that we support:

  • X
  • Crunchbase
  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
  • YouTube
  • Twitch
  • Instagram
  • Pinterest
  • Reddit
  • Threads

Enriching Company Profiles From Social Media URLs

To support social media profile URL enrichment for companies, I have added a socmed_url input parameter to the Company Details Endpoint, which accepts a wide variety of social media platform profile URLs.

So all you have to do to get rich company profile data back is to call the API endpoint with the socmed_url of your choice.

Enriching People Profiles From Social Media Profile URLs

You can also enrich people's profiles from social media profile URLs via NinjaPear's Person Profile Endpoint, with extra steps on your part. To be specific, you need to:

  1. Perform a search request on the profile URL. You can use any SERP API to do this.
  2. From the results of the SERP API that match your URL input, extract the person's name, company, role, and location on a best-effort basis. You can extract this simply via code heuristics or an agentic LLM prompt.
  3. Feed the person's name+company+role+location to the Person Profile Endpoint.
  4. Get the person's profile data.

I have also added an optional location input parameter to the Person Profile Endpoint so we can further refine the target profile's identity when we perform the live enrichment on our end.

In an ideal world, I would wish the extra steps away with a simple implementation. However, I am not able to due to legal reasons. Because it breaches some social media platforms' user agreements to scrape public profile data even if it is indexed, I have chosen not to do this.

So take that as a warning. NinjaPear is able to provide you with fresh profile data of any person on a best-effort basis. But you do have to jump through some technical hoops and possibly breach the terms of service of various social media platforms.

How Does Social Media Enrichment Work Without Scraping?

We do not scrape the social media platform when given a social media profile URL in the Company Details Endpoint. In fact, if you notice, the socmed_url input in the Company Details Endpoint requires that the URL carry the name of the company. We extract that name, resolve it into a website, and perform our live enrichment.

As for people profiles, I have chosen not to scrape social media platform search results even if they are publicly available, as I do not want to expose ourselves or our customers to potential legal liabilities.

Enrichment Success Rates

From my limited testing with a small sample size of around 20 profiles for both companies and people, I am able to get around a 90% enrichment rate for companies, with the other 10% failing due to the website being unreachable or blocking our crawlbot. For people profiles, the success rate is a lot higher, near 100%, but I suspect this is so because I generated the sample from the existing people data in our database.

That said, take my testing with a pinch of salt, and I'd much prefer for you to test the data fill rate and enrichment success rate on your own sample so you can judge how well NinjaPear works for your needs!

AI Data Merging

The more you use NinjaPear, the richer the data you will get.

Each time our API performs web-scale deep research for a live enrichment process, we find new and missing information about someone or some company—data that we already hold about said entity. What we used to do was discard old data and return the freshest data possible to the user. The side effect is that we lose good data that can still be true over time. For example, older board members of a company might get replaced with newer board members.

I have pushed out an update that uses AI to merge data and append the freshest data on top of solid profile data holding things that don't change much (for example, the founding year, the founder, etc.).

I stand by the fact that NinjaPear is the only B2B Intelligence Data platform that will:

  1. Provide you with rich profile data enriched in real-time.
  2. Do so with no legal liabilities.

It is my belief that every other B2B data vendor is lying. They are either reselling you profile data from a profile database, OR they are scraping data behind login walls.

For Enterprise customers, I am open to having our data pipeline, database, and code audited by a reputable audit firm.

Scale your business with NinjaPear's data with no fear.
